“Hellcat” Rachael Taylor joins “Jessica Jones”
Marvel has really upped the ante in the last few years. TV series and movies are being made on popular characters from comic books. The latest to join the league is Hellcat A.K.A Trish Walker.
Based on “Alias”, an offbeat R rated comic book, the new series looks promising. Rachel Taylor has been rope in to play the character of Hellcat. Popularly known as Patsy Walker, Taylor’s character is etched in the comic book history in the 1940’s. Walker was a star of patsy and Hedy comics which debuted in 1940. One more romantic series followed the Patsy and Hedy series. Later in the 1970 Trish Walker became the now famous Hellcat. She will start off as model and radio talk host Trish Walker and most probably will later evolve in the super hero mode. She will have a brief moment with Avengers also and will later be a part of the lesser known Defenders.
The series is a build up to the Defenders series planned for autumn release. Hellcat will play a prominent role in the series. Taylor will support Jessica Taylor in a dangerous investigation. Taylor is building up as a detective for the most curious cases involving people with supernatural powers. Jessica is a much real life character Marvel is keen to develop. She had earlier been enslaved by Purple man and psychologically abused. There are many dark shades attached to her character. Taylor (Hellcat) acts as a perfect foil to Jessica Jones as her best friend.
