Hong Kong Television Industry to get a Boost from FOX
Fox in America is all set to give the television industry in the Chinese overseas territory of Hong Kong a massive boost by sponsoring a television series that is estimated to be worth millions of dollars. As much as one million dollars is going to be spent on just a single episode in order to make this series something that is completely different from past TV series in this part of the world. The first production series is tentatively titled as Guilty as Sin. This series is going to be re telling old and local Chinese tales to the present day audience. The second series which would also have an Asian scale in it, is going to be made entirely in English in order to cater to the western educated audience.
Cora Yim who presently serves as the vice president for Fox International says that more mini series are going to gradually evolve from these two, in course of time. The main purpose behind this initiative she says is to bring American television standards to the continent of Asia. Yim stated before the camera that, "Many film directors in Hollywood are producing television but this has yet become a trend in Asia. We want to bring US standards to Asia."
