Sarah Silverman apologizes to New York club owner after #Ask4More video controversy
Comedian Sarah Silverman caused a major controversy last week. The comedian had stated that Al Martin, a comedy club owner shorted her. She said the reason for the low payment was based on her gender. She has since released a public apology to Martin.
She stated that her story was fabricated. She also apologized for dirtying his name, and went on to say that he always was a loving person toward her.
#Ask4More campaign was established to tackle the wage gap between male and female employees.
Martin responded to the allegations by saying that Silverman was paid less due to being less famous and talented, not because she was a female.
