The X-Files Making A Come Back This Summer With A Six Episode Run
Fans of the X-Files have something to smile about as the show will be making a comeback to Fox with a special six episode run that will see Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny reunite.
Reports indicate that the successful supernatural drama will begin shooting this summer and it is expected to air next season.
Chris Carter, the creator of the show, said that, “I think of it as a 13-year commercial break,” adding that, “The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories.”
Many fans of the show ere heartbroken when the show came to an end back in May 2002, but they later had something to smile about when the TV show resurrected on the big screen title “The X-Files: I Want to Believe” back in 2008. This film was a follow upof the events of The X-Files: Fight the Future which was released back in 1998.
In a statement that was issued by Gary Newman, the chairman of Fox, and Dana Walden confirmed that they will be teaming up with David Duchovny one more time.
“We had the privilege of working with Chris on all nine seasons of The X-Files — one of the most rewarding creative experiences of our careers — and we couldn’t be more excited to explore that incredible world with him again.”
