Community is returning
Reason for sadness for thousands of fans around the world, NBC had decided to cancel the comedy last summer. As a last minute hope for them, Yahoo managed to host the sixth season of the US TV series on Yahoo Screen. Only to be rehired subsequently, the man behind the show, Dan Harmon, has been fired by NBC.
With Community being associated on many occasions with the creepy monster on a terrible horror movie; it won’t die, whatever how much the wanna-be-heros try. The change of home actually turned up to be the best thing that could happen for the loved show. Community promises not to change it’s essence, the first two episodes being animated with bizarre pop culture references and meta commentary. Seamlessly, the show has transferred to an online venue. Impossible otherwise, some things have changed. Yvette Nicole Brown who used us with her role as Shirley, departed the series. However, she can now be seen on CBS’ The Odd Couple. Explaining her decision, Brown confessed that the stress the one camera show was making her go through was too much for her to take care of her father as well.
“Good shows change” said administrative consultant Frankie Dart. Being free from the bounds that network television are expecting, the episodes might run for a few more minutes. Also the vocabulary doesn’t need to be off-color now. Anyhow, the core of the show remains just as the fans know it.
