The show was highly entertaining and filled with fun designed for the entire family. This show was premiered in the TV in September, 1989 and it acquired huge popularity. The main reason for the popularity of the show was not only because it was funny, but also because it delivered valuable moral messages to the audiences. The show dealt with wide varieties of issues like family affairs, education, pride and respect of the Blacks. It also dealt with the importance of responsibility.
The show has millions of fans and they waited before the TV every Friday night when the show was aired. It focused on the ups and downs of the entire Winslow family. Viewers also loved watching the characters and the roles performed by them. The main theme of the show is implied from the name. “Family Matters” had always focused on moral family values with a solid structure.

Steve Urkel was the main character of this show and this role was played by Jaleel White.
